Cocktail shaker or jar with lid
Ingredients
juice from 1/2 a lemon(about 1/4 cup)
1/4tspturmeric powder
pinch of black pepper*
2-3slices fresh ginger
1/2Tbspliquid sweetener, such as maple syrup or agave(I used maple syrup)
1 1/2cupsfiltered water
ice for serving
optional boosters: pinch of cayenne pepper, fresh mint leaves
Instructions
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker or jar with a lid. Cover and shake well for about 10-20 seconds.
Pour into a glass filled with ice, sit back, and enjoy sipping!
Notes
*Black pepper may sound like a weird ingredient for lemonade, but its almost necessary. Black pepper actually helps your body absorb the curcumin in the turmeric!
